The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and executing all communications, marketing, branding, and public relations initiatives for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. This role ensures consistent messaging, strong brand presentation, and strategic promotion of the Chamber’s programs, initiatives, and events.
The position oversees the creation of marketing collateral, digital content, print publications, media relations, social media strategy, and event marketing while maintaining the Chamber’s visual identity and voice across all platforms.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and creative communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high design and content standards.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management & Creative Direction
- Maintain and protect the Chamber’s brand standards across all platforms and materials.
- Design and produce all marketing collateral, including event graphics, digital promotions, advertisements, signage, programs, and publications.
- Oversee creative development from concept to final production for both digital and print materials.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, design, and brand voice across all marketing channels.
Required Software Proficiency:
Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and other graphic design and content creation platforms.
Content Development & Publications
Lead the creation, writing, editing, and production of all Chamber publications and marketing materials.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing and editing content for the Quarterly Magazine, press releases, email campaigns, speeches, website content, and marketing materials.
- Managing design and production of the Quarterly Magazine, including layout, advertisements, and editorial content.
- Designing and producing programs for major Chamber events.
- Assisting with the Annual Directory and other annual publications.
- Editing and proofreading all Chamber marketing materials for accuracy and brand consistency.
Media Relations & Public Relations
Serve as the Chamber’s primary point of contact for media and public relations.
Responsibilities include:
· Writing and distributing press releases for Chamber news, initiatives, and events.
· Developing relationships with local media outlets and journalists.
· Coordinating pre-event and post-event media coverage.
· Managing media presence at major Chamber events.
· Ensuring the Chamber maintains a strong public presence in the Boca Raton and South Palm Beach County business community.
Event Marketing
Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns for all Chamber events and programs.
Responsibilities include:
· Designing and scheduling marketing emails through Constant Contact.
· Creating event graphics, digital promotions, advertisements, and marketing materials.
· Designing event programs and printed collateral.
· Working with printing vendors to ensure materials are delivered on time and within budget.
· Writing speeches for major Chamber events, including remarks for leadership and emcees.
· Capturing event photography and content using the Chamber’s DSLR camera.
· Managing pre-event promotion and post-event recap content.
Social Media Strategy & Digital Marketing
Oversee the Chamber’s social media presence and digital engagement strategy.
Responsibilities include:
· Managing the Chamber’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other emerging platforms.
· Creating branded graphics and visual content for social media.
· Developing and maintaining a weekly and monthly content calendar.
· Executing both organic and paid social media strategies to promote Chamber programs and events.
· Using targeted advertising to increase event attendance and generate membership leads.
· Monitoring engagement metrics and optimizing content strategy.
Website Administration
Provide oversight and regular updates to the Chamber’s website.
Responsibilities include:
· Performing minor website updates and maintenance.
· Posting member news releases and announcements.
· Reviewing and approving member-submitted events and coupons.
· Ensuring the website remains a current and valuable resource for Chamber members.
· Supporting digital marketing campaigns that drive traffic to Chamber programs and events.
Sales & Revenue Support
Support the Chamber’s membership and sponsorship initiatives through marketing efforts.
Responsibilities include:
· Managing and increasing advertising sales for the Quarterly Magazine.
· Creating lead generation campaigns through social media.
· Collaborating with the Membership Development team to support member acquisition efforts.
· Assisting in promoting sponsorship opportunities through marketing channels.
Special Projects
- Design and manage communications materials for BLUPAC initiatives, including candidate information and voter guides when applicable.
- Produce marketing collateral for the Golden Bell Foundation as needed.
- Support Chamber leadership with communications materials for strategic initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience with Canva and digital content creation tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with social media strategy and digital marketing.
