SALARY AND SUPERVISION
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am – 4pm; Some early morning, evening, and weekend hours
Supervise: No
Report to CEO
Annual Review by CEO
REIMBURSEMENT AND INCENTIVES:
$50/month cell phone reimbursement – employee not responsible for afterhours calls unless on the clock.
Mileage at IRS rate for business travel over 15 miles one-way per day.
Healthcare Insurance covered 100% for employee only
VACATION AND LEAVE:
PTO per year: per handbook; 5 days per year, accruing after 90-day review, 10 days after first year
Paid Holidays per Board Approval: 13 days per calendar year
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with staff to coordinate events, programs, committees, and community involvement under the direct supervision of the President/CEO within budget restrictions and provide outstanding customer service to organize memorable events that meet quality expectations. Event coordinators need to be able to anticipate potential problems and plan for scenarios that could impact the event.
Including but not limited to:
Develop concepts, design themes, and plan event details like seating, dining, and guests
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to talk to stakeholders, vendors, and venues in a confident and friendly way
Be able to work on multiple events at once and keep an organized schedule to ensure events run smoothly. Responsible for event day logistics such as setup and breakdown.
Research and book venues that fit the event's theme and purpose and negotiate with venues and vendors.
Be able to work efficiently in high-pressure situations with strict deadlines
Collaborate with staff on event production.
Design attractive, engaging, relevant flyers and marketing materials for all events and programs of the Chamber and Foundation, keeping event and Chamber branding and language consistent across all materials
Provide feedback and ongoing reports regarding all aspects of planning and design to CEO/President
Propose ideas to improve services and event quality.
Proactively resolve any event-related conflicts and troubleshoot any emerging problems on event day.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)
Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication Skills, both spoken and written
Event Coordination and Social Media experience
Extensive Customer Service experience
Self-driven and Motivated Team Player
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Computer Skills: Functioning Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook Mail, Excel, Adobe Suite
Ability to manage time and work with deadlines
Willingness to learn new technologies, creative and artistic eye for graphic design
Ability to be able to lift 30 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and in extreme temperatures.
QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED)
Knowledge of Digital and Social Media Marketing Platforms
Ability to build productive business relationships.
Knowledge of the East Pasco community, and passion to support local businesses’ success
Some Experience with Community and Civic group organizations
