About Our Speaker...

Michelle West is an award-winning video producer and a marketing and communications consultant with more than 20 years’ experience in for-profit and non-profit industries. Her business, Chamber Speak, specializes in providing practical marketing and communications solutions and services for chambers of commerce.

Prior to launching Chamber Speak, Michelle served as the vice president of communications for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce in Springfield, Missouri.

In this role, she was responsible for the organization’s strategic communications planning process and its overall marketing and communications program. In 2012, she led the chamber’s successful effort to achieve the designation of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives’ 2012 Chamber of the Year.

Her past professional experience includes working as the director of public relations for the global non-profit Enactus, and a 12-year career in broadcast news where she led a team of 40 journalists at the top-rated NBC affiliate in the nation, KYTV. During her time in leadership at KYTV, she and her team were honored with an Emmy award by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
